Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers edge worn. Rear cover just a little grubby. Name in ink to belongs to box (ink has transferred a little to the front pastedown). Foxing and some grubby marks to contents. Some margin tears and a little pulling of the stitches causing contents to be a bit loose.

Each story is founded in the real world of a girl and her pet hamster and each returns to it after considerable flights of fancy... Pink boards, gilt title to spine and vignette of hamster to front board. B/w illustrations. A little loss to margin of gutter edge of front endpaper. Small name in ink to front pastedown hidden by the front flap of dustwrapper. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears and yellowing tape to verso at edges.
