Translated from the German by Barry. Red cloth covered boards, silver title to spine. Some bumping to spine and corners. A few marks and foxspots to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased and chipped with a couple of repaired tears.
Set in the 1870's, this is a story of disreputable London characters, who pandered to the amusements and miseries of their poor helpless victims.
