First story is "The Three Princesses". Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Front joint is cracked and partially repaired. Name in ink to half-title page and transferred to verso of front endpaper. Frontis is partially detached. Foxing. Some margin marks; colouring to some illustrations.

First story is "How We Let Lodgings" by Mrs. G. Wemyss. Angela Brazil story is "A Terrible Handful". Spine bumped and worn with nicks to cloth at ends. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby with a few marks and scratches, small amount of surface paper damage to front cover. A couple of hinges cracked. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. Pale stain to edge of title page and small stain to lower margin of frontis. Contents generally clean. All plates present.

Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with a few small pieces of loss. Small hole to rear fold. Brown tape stuck to worst tear on verso.

Inscription in ink to front endpaper (ink thumb print to top edge of same page). Page browning and some small marks to margins else clean.
Green pictorial boards and spine. Covers show two smiling chubby children, one with playing cards. 4 colour plates and numerous two-tone illustrations. Edges worn. Covers bright and clean. Small piece of tape securing top of spine. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Front joint partly cracked. Foxing to endpapers, prelims and outer page edges. Overall a bright clean copy of this scarce book.
