Cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows girl washing toys. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front cover slightly grubby, rear cover has a few marks and a tiny indentation. Front joint cracked between frontis and title page. First gathering pulled so feels loose. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Painting to some b/w illustrations with transfer of colour to page opposite. Also some painting to verso of a couple of plates and to blank pages at rear and endpapers.

Green cloth covers with gilt title block and decorations. 10.5 x 9.25". 24 pages of chromolithographs by Kronheim. Contains Nusery Songs, Edith and Milly's Housekeeping, Life of a Doll and John Gilpin. Book rebacked using original spine, new endpapers. Spine and corners bumped. Corners worn. Deep scratch to front cover. A few small marks and a little scuffing to covers. Ink name and date to prelims. One chromo has some coloured scribble near top and there is some outlining in colour to the browning on the blank pages opposite other chromos. Crease to frontis and small amount of pen scribble to blank page opposite. Contents and browned and foxed with a few marks.

Brown mark, mostly to inner margins of two pages, one of which is a two-tone illustration page. A few fox spots and fingermarks but generally clean otherwise.
