Evidence of damp lifting cloth of front cover (a large bubble to spine edge). Spine faded. Corners lightly worn. Small nick in cloth at front vertical edge. Rear joint cracked, front joint just starting to crack at base. A few foxspots present.

Cover edges are bumped and worn, with some chipping. Score mark to top of front cover. Chipping along edges of spine. Some tears to paper on spine which appear to have been repaired with glue. Browning to pages internally. A few grubby finger marks. All colour plates are present. Couple of b/w illustrations have been coloured in.

Front joint is cracked and becoming weak; webbing showing through. Some ink stamp marks to belongs to box and verso of frontis. Small tear to bottom of frontis. Light browning to page edges and margins. A few hinges are pulled. All plates are present.
