Issues 609 to 631 bound together and including "The House of Surprises" by L.T.Meade bound in at the back "being the Little Folks Annual for 1888" which includes a colour frontis and b/w illustrations. Brown pictorial cloth with gilt. 2 other colour plates. B/w illustrations throughout. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly grubby. Endpapers lightly browned. Ink name stamp to front endpaper. Some foxing.

Spine and corners very slightly bumped and rubbed. Front cover is lovely and bright. There is a small dent to top edge of rear cover. Foxspots to textblock else contents clean.

19th Year of Publication. Cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows a fisherman and 2 children looking out to sea. 6 colour plates and b/w text illustrations. Story by Fenn is Our Soldier Boy. Spine bumped, worn and faded with small splits to top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Some scratches to covers. Both joints and some hinges cracked. Front endpaper partially detached. A little surface paper damage to front endpaper where a list had been stuck. Page browning and some foxing plus some marks to contents, including a co A few small tears to margins. One plate is creased.

Red pictorial cloth with gilt titles and flower vignette to spine and gilt titles and vignette of a girl skipping to front. 6 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. 1st item is a poem - Goodbye. One b/w plate by Wain entitled 'The Cats Party.' Spine bumped, worn and faded. Corners bumped and worn. Cover edges darkened and covers a little marked. Front and rear joints badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges cracked. One plate is loose and has ragged edges. Foxing and browning especially to prelims. A few light marks otherwise contents generally clean.

Name and address in ink (name has been crossed out and written in again) to front endpaper. Small tape mark to top of front endpaper. Hinges beginning to crack. Foxing and some marks throughout book. Plates all present but are foxed at margins. Some small margin tears.
