Circa 1890. Almost very good condition.
Stiff card covers. Chromolithograph illustrations. Binding has possibly at one time been neatly repaired. Wear to spine. A few marks to covers, including inscription in ink to top of front cover. Inscription in ink also to title page. Some 'spotting' to illustrations - it appears that there has been some transfer of colour to text pages opposite.
Cloth spine, pictorial covers. Small format, 6.25 x 5". Chromolithographs and rhymes. Sepia text. Spine bumped and worn, corners worn especially lower front corner. Covers marked and lightly browned. Staples rusty. Some foxing and browning and an odd fingermark to contents.

Covers are edge worn and slightly scratched, some slight loss of surface paper at lower spine edges. Small bookseller stickers to both pastedowns. Endpapers lightly browned. Light foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents.

Green cloth, gilt and silver decorations to front cover. Chromolithos, some full-page. 40 pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Covers grubby, gilt dulled, a lot of white marks to rear cover. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Browning, light foxing and a few marks to endpapers and contents. Patch of light blue colour to edge of one colour plate.

Some hinges cracked. Several pages at the beginning of the book detached.Small tear to inner margin of front endpaper. Browning to page edges. Some foxing and fingering to contents.

Red cloth spine. Cream pictorial boards. Pictorial endpapers. Colour and b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Spine is a little faded. Couple of deep scratches to front board. Light marks to rear board. Board edges a little scuffed. Name plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Rear endpaper torn by margin with some browned taped mending a couple of tears. Both joints badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges cracked. Browned tape to hinge of several pages including frontis and title page. One colour plate is creased. Some fingering and page browning otherwise contents are generally clean.
A pop-up book with introduction by Weatherly. 5 pop-up scenes plus numerous b/w illustrations. Green cloth spine, pictorial front board shows children dancing around a Christmas tree. Decorative endpapers. Nister no. 853. Spine bumped and worn. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges are scuffed. Boards are scratched and a bit grubby. Front joint cracked. Endpapers and page edges browned. Staples rusty. One page, which has ragged edges, is detached. 4" tear to last page of text plus other smaller tears to page edges and margins. Light colouring to several illustrations. Some fingering to contents. Horse's tail slightly creased in second pop-up, and couple of small patches of surface paper damage in deer pop-up. Other pop-ups nice and bright.
