Light marks to rear board. Board edges a little scuffed. Name plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Rear endpaper torn by margin with some browned taped mending a couple of tears. Both joints badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges cracked. Browned tape to hinge of several pages including frontis and title page. One colour plate is creased. Some fingering and page browning otherwise contents are generally clean.

Inscription in ink to top edge of front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and page edges. One hinge cracked. Light creasing to top inside corner of all pages. Just an odd mark to contents.

Small foxspots to endpapers and half-title page otherwise the contents are beautifully clean and bright with all plates present. A super copy of this title, exceptionally rare in first edition.
