Second and enlarged edition. The New Bus for London launched to the press towards the end of 2011 was generally well received. It was a bold new design that was the end product of a process that began when Boris Johnson promised a new Routemaster if he became mayor of London in 2008. He did, and this book is the story of how that pledge was developed into a bus during the first four years of his time as mayor and the further developments during his second and final term.
