Bumping and heavy wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers grubby and marked, wear and some pen marks to illustration on front cover. Large pencil drawing and inscription to front endpapers. Some browning, mainly to endapers. Light foxing and a few marks to contents. All plates present.

Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Spine browned. Covers grubby and worn. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Name in pen and pencil sums to front endpapers. 2 transfers stuck to verso of frontis with some transfer to page opposite. Colouring to at least three b/w illustrations. Some marks to contents. Endpapers browned. Text block foxed. All plates present.

Spine faded. Covers grubby and marked. Light crease to rear cover. Both joints and a couple of hinges cracked. Ink presentation inscription to verso of frontis. Some marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing/browning. All plates present.

Large format (10 x 7.5"). Cream cloth with brown titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Blue illustration to endpapers. 12 colour plates. 180 pages. Spine bumped and worn with some browning, small splits to cloth at ends. Covers slightly grubby, a lot of scratching and wear to onlay. One hinge cracked. Endpapers browned with ink inscription to front endpaper. Light foxing and a few marks/fingermarks to contents. All plates present but two have a large tear, a couple have margin tears and one has a ragged edge, probably reinserted.

Wear with chipping to corners and cover edges. Couple of small spots of surface paper loss to covers. Rear joint cracked and a couple of hinges cracked, front joint just starting to crack. A couple of margin tears. Some light foxing and marks to contents but generally clean. All plates present but one has loss from margin and two have margin tears.

Wear to corners and cover edges. A few marks and scratches to covers. Pencil writing about contents to front endpaper. Some browning to endpapers, prelims and last couple of pages. Evidence of something having been stuck to rear endpaper. Contents very good.

All plates present.
