Small format. B/w illustrations. Modern brown library binding with gilt title to spine. Ex-lib, Library label to front endpaper. Stamp to verso of frontis, contents clean but browned. Library repairs to hinges using white tape.
Deluxe limited edition of 500 copies, SIGNED by Kate Greenaway's brother, John Greenaway. Cream cloth with gilt titles and blind decorations. With an original sketch by Kate Greenaway. Beautiful plates that have captioned page guards. Spine browned and worn with fraying to top & tail. Boards are grubby. Text block browned. Joints cracked but binding tight. SIGNED by John Greenaway and number 275 (?) of 500. Some minor foxing and age related marks presnt. All plates present. Plate on page 88 has a repaired closed tear which does not affect the actual illustration. Plate and tissue guard facing page 166 is creased at edges with a few tiny closed tears.
De Luxe edition limited to 300 numbered copies and signed by the illustrator. White cloth, blue borders and orange tree design with gilt titles. 75 tissue-guarded plates. Top edge gilt. SIGNED by the artist (no dedication) and numbered 128 (of 300). Spine browned, boards marked and grubby. Top & tail of spine worn and fraying. Front hinge pulled with residue surface paper from front endpaper stuck to half-title page. Rear hinge pulled wide, free rear endpaper is stuck to rear pastedown (possibly a binding error). Some inner hinges pulled else the binding is tight. Some foxing present especially to tissue-guards but not the plates themselves. Small damp stain to margins and lower corner of last few pages and plates.

Boards unevenly heavily browned and stained, scuffed to rear board. Fraying to cloth at base of spine. Joints cracked. Binding is still tight. All plates present and clean. A few pale foxspots and margin marks to contents.

Top edge gilt. 75 tissue-guarded colour plates. xiii and 239 numbered pages. SIGNED by the author (no dedication) and numbered 238 (of 500). Boards grubby and stained, rear edge of spine has a small patch of cloth fraying.Joints cracked, rear endpaper missing. Binding of first few pages weak and will possibly disintegrate further so that the pages are loose. Binding glue drying out and thus a few weak spots. A few foxspots throughout. All plates present and clean.

Spine and corners bumped. Some slight scuffing to the front cover illustration. Light fingermarks to page margins and light foxing to textblock.

Reprint of September 1930 advertising the New Series. Spine bumped, faded and foxed. Heavy foxing to textblock and some page margins.
Large format. Brown cloth, green titles. 100 superb b/w illustrations of a variety of dog breeds. The book helps pet-owners and particularly children to understand their dogs better. Spine slightly browned. Contemporary inscription in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Text block browned. Contents otherwise clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned, edge-worn, chip to top of spine affecting OGS of Dogs in title, surface paper loss to lower edge of rear panel and rear panel is grubby. Musty odour present.
