One of the world's great travel books, the first edition of which was published in 1632. Edited with an introduction by Phelps. Green cloth, gilt decorations. Endpapers are maps. B/w illustrations and maps. 200 pages. Spine slightly bumped, light mark to front cover. Original yellow slipcase is worn with some fading and small splits at edges.
Introduction by Geoffrey Moorhouse. Vivid blue decorative cloth. B/w photos by the author. The author's journey to Afghanistan, 1933-1934. A fine copy contained in publisher's slipcase in almost fine condition.
A journey in the Hadhramaut. Blue cloth with silver titles. B/w photographic onlay to front cover. B/w photos. Introduction by Wheeler. Maps by Kevin Freeborn. This title was first published by John Murray in 1936. This edition follows the text of the reprint in December 1936, with minor emendations. A fine copy contained in publisher's slipcase with just a few light scuffs.
Bright orange silk covered boards with gilt title to spine and decorations to front. Endpapers are a map of the Spice Route. Colour illustrations throughout. 302 pages includes index. Unusually for this book, the spine is not faded or discoloured. Rubbing to the gilt on spine (author's name affected). Small mark to base of spine, small bump to top of spine and lower front corner. Else contents fine. Contained in publisher's slipcase with a small bump to top open edge.
2 Volumes. One volume covers The Blue Nile, 2nd covers The White Nile. Green moire silk boards with gilt titles. Beautiful b/w and colour illustrations throughout. Spines very slightly faded (minor). Contained in publisher's slipcase with a small bump to one edge.

Book is faded to spine with a few faint marks to front cover and spine. Pictorial slipcase is bumped at front edge with slight damage, also small crack at base.

Tiny blob of glue(?) to lower edge of inside front cover of first volume, otherwise books are fine. Publisher's burgundy slipcase is ever so slightly scuffed.
