Red cloth with gilt title to spine. 12 colour plates and numerous b/w illustrations. Spine is very faded/browned. Rest of covers are unevenly faded, with some marks. Bumping to corners. Colour plates are all present. Some foxing. Pencil writing to one of the rear endpapers.
British Artists series. Sixteen examples in colour of the artist's work. Green cloth, gilt titles. Pictorial onlay to front. Tipped-in plates. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Foxing and page browning to text pages. All plates present and in fine condition. Hinge between last page of text and first plate is cracked. This edition "reissued with slight rearrangement of pictures, February 1911".
Blue pictorial cloth, with black title to spine. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners are a little bumped. Spine is darkened. Browning and foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. A few light margin marks to contents. One b/w plate has large corner torn completely off (affecting picture) and has been taped back in on one side to keep it in place.
