Top edge gilt. 75 colour plates captioned on tissue guard. Folding map. Damage to top of spine; small vertical split and then longer horizontal split across top of spine. Front endpaper is MISSING. Joints are cracked and weak. Marks down margin/joint to page 169 and plate, which is pulled. Some other joints are pulled. A reading copy.
War Front Series. Blue embossed cloth. Gilt title to spine. 32 colour plates, 8 b/w plates + folding colour map. Spine is browned and bumped. Foxing and spotting to covers, which are also bumped along edges, with some other marks. Some foxing and browning. Contents are still generally very good.
Blue cloth with gilt design and titles on front cover and spine. Top edge gilt. 3200 copies. A. & C. Black Colour Book 20 Shilling Series. 60 tissue-guarded colour plates. Spine is browned and bumped, with a little chipping/splitting to cloth at corners. Inscriptions in ink to front pastedown and front endpaper. Foxing. Arms of Colleges cards are stuck to 3 pages of prelims and verso of last text page of book and each chapter heading page thoroughout.
Pale grey/blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. White and two green colour decorations. 75 colour plates/illustrations - 55 full page with tissue-guards and 20 are chapter headers. Plus fold-out map to rear. 248 pages, plus 2 page original booklist to rear. A and C Black Colour Book in the 20 Shilling series. Light bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some browning to spine. A few marks to covers. Joints are cracked. Foxing; heaviest to endpapers and outer page edges, but some also to pages internally. Plate margins also have some foxing, but mostly browning.

Early edition, but has 4 page (later) booklist to rear. 1-2" tear/damage vertically and then horizontally to top of spine, which is also browned. Bumping to corners. Marks to covers. Some page margin tears (e.g. front endpaper and page 92. Foxing and browning throughout.

Split/tear to spine at top, vertically and horizontally. Bumping to spine and corners. Marks to covers; some spotting. Couple of inch crack/crease to top corner of front cover; some damage to pastedown on verso. Creasing in same place to prelims, including frontis. Erased inscription to front endpaper. Grubby margin marks to contents pages/list of illustrations. Foxing and browning to outer page edges; a few margin marks, but contents are generally still very good.

Part of the A & C Black 20 Shilling Series. 1" split to top of spine. Bumping to corners. Some scuffing. Joints are cracked and weak - can see stitching through the paper. Page edge browning. Lower margin has slight loss page 155/6. Browning to margins of plate pages.

Mark to margin of plate page 66; guard partially detached page 226. Map is creased. Some foxing and marks.
