Free front endpaper starting to detach from bottom. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Rear hinge split but binding hanging on. Page 49/50 and 55/56 is detached but present. Other hinges pulled. Contents therefore fragile in binding. A few grubby marks to contents.

A lovely book. Spine bumped and worn with a couple of marks. Wear to corners with some loss of surface from top corner of front cover. Rear cover is marked (water?) with light crease to bottom corner. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Light stains to bottom edges of endpapers and some pages. Foxing throughout. All plates present and in very good condition. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped, also grubby with stains and with hole to centre of spine. Some tape repairs to tears on verso.
