The second of the two volumes making up the trilogy of The Ring Of The Niblung. Very scarce publisher's leather edition. Gilt titles and vignettes to front cover and spine. 30 magnificent tipped-in colour plates which display the Germanic inspiration evident in Rip and Midsummer Night's Dream and continuing through Undine and the Wagner books. Orange and cream pictorial endpapers. Top edge gilt. 182 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Light browning to endpapers. One plate has a light corner crease, all others are present and in fine condition. Some light foxing to contents and textblock. Title list to prelims list mostly titles published before 1911 but also lists The Ring of the Niblung (published in 1939).
