The driver of the stage-coach has been hit by a bullet. Poco and Tim Bladen search for the unknown gunman and thus become involved in a hunt for treasure in the bad lands of the Pecos country. Red boards, dark titles and vignettes to front cover and spine. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 217 pages. Minimal bumping to spine and corners, couple of light bumps to lower edge of front cover. Name and date in ink to front endpaper plus small ink date stamp. Front joint ever so slightly cracked. Foxing, mainly to endpapers and text block. Text pages clean. Dustwrapper is a little edge worn with small chips to base of spine. Rear panel and spine grubby/foxed, same on verso.

Name, address and date in ink to front endpaper. Small bookseller's label to rear endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and text block, especially top edge of text block. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss from top of spine and folds, small tear to base of front panel and a grubby rear panel. A little wear to spine, light foxing/browning on verso.

Name in belongs to box. Bottom corner of one page torn off. Picture of Mrs. Tubby's tea - party coloured in. Pencil marks to Noddy's exciting race game. Some margin marks. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with small area of loss at top and bottom of spine. Wrapper is grubby.

Spine a little faded. Some browning/foxing to cover edges and base of spine. Small grubby mark to rear cover. Faint erased writing to top edge of front endpaper and ink inscription to verso. Four pencil numbers to top edge of rear endpaper. Brown marks to text block affects many page margins but otherwise contents very good. A few fox spots to top edge of text block. Dustwrapper has loss, mainlt from bottom edge of front panel and spine and from top edge of rear panel and spine. Creasing to front panel. Spine and rear panel browned and grubby.
