Inscriptions in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased and chipped, with a little loss; some browning.

Red cloth spine. Green boards. Gilt titles. Colour illustrations. First story is "Silly Sammy". Spine and corners bumped, slight rubbing to cover edges. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn, chipped and creased, loss to top of spine and 2" loss to base (further tears to spine).

Covers a little grubby and creased. Small patch of white correction fluid to top of verso of front cover. Child's large handwriting to title page. Book has possibly been restitched as thread in middle of book is blue. Closed tear to one page. A couple of grubby marks otherwise contents generally clean.
