A story set in Bavaria featuring the Branxomes, their cruiser the Dabchick and a valuable carving. Red boards with blue titles, vignette of Dabchick on front cover and small spire on spine. B/w illustrations. 224 pages. Minimal bumping to spine. Tiny hole to spine in author's surname. Child's writing to page 138 and one word to publisher's page. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn, spine is faded. Pale blue stains to bottom of rear panel, small mark to front panel and tiny amount of surface paper damage. Revised price label to front flap.

Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page.
