A collection of stories and illustrations which originally appeared in "Little Folks" between 1896 and 1902, during which period most of the numbers of the magazine contained some of Rackham's drawings. Large format. 36 tinted line-drawn plates and text illustrations. Brown cloth, gilt titles to spine; brick red titles and vignette to front cover. 144 pages. One of the more unusual Rackham items. Spine and corners are bumped and worn, splits in the cloth to the front edge of spine. Covers are rubbed. Name plate to front pastedown. Small ink blot to preliminary pages and some grubby fingermarks to page margins. Light page browning to free-endpapers.

The Adventures of David Balfour. Large format. Green cloth with large pictorial onlay to front. Pictorial endpapers. Colour title page and plates. Fold-out map. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. One plate has slightly ragged edges and a few margin tears. Fold out map is creased.
Blue boards, white titles. Colour frontis plus full-page b/w drawings. 215 pages. Spine and corners a little bumped. Mark to top corner of a few pages. A little fingering otherwise contents are generally very good. Dustwrapper is edge rubbed. Spine is faded and author's and publisher's names almost rubbed off. Rear panel is grubby.

Tear and fold to bottom corner of one page which wasn't cut correctly in binding process. Couple of marks to text block edge otherwise contents very good. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears. Spine is faded and slightly rubbed. Some foxing to flaps. Rear panel is grubby.

Second Edition. Heavy wear to spine and corners. Splits to cloth at ends of spine. Covers grubby, spine browned. First gathering is detached, from front endpaper to page 16. Another gathering detached, pages 145 to 160. Joints cracked. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper, ink name to verso of frontis. Heavy foxing to tissue guard and title page. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean.

Green cloth spine with sporting vignette. Pictorial front cover shows four children opening a large orange door/book? Colour and b/w illustrations. 184 pages. Spine bumped. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges scuffed. Large scratches to front board. Damp mark to rear board which is grubby. Name in ink to top of front endpaper plus initials to front pastedown and endpaper. Both joints cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges also cracked. Browning to pages. Grubby marks to margins, including to some plates.
