The first book of six in the Rupert Little Bear Series. Cream decorative boards with pictorial onlay to front cover. Brown cloth spine with black title. Plain endpapers. Titles of the first three books in the series on rear cover. Pages printed in blue, red or brown with one illustration to each page. REDUCED PRICE. Boards a little grubby. Corners and edges slightly worn. Inscription in ink dated Xmas 1925 on front pastedown, so this is a reprint in first year of publication.. A few small closed margin tears. One page has a few margin marks otherwise contents bright and clean. A very nice copy of an exceptionally rare early edition in its original binding.

The fact the Selwyn was proved a dunce turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to him. Oblong format. Blue cloth spine, white pictorial boards. Colour lithograph illustrations. Crease to front endpaper. Pale foxing to endpapers. Contents are beautifully bright. Wrapper has large closed tear to front panel, other smaller tears to corners and some grubby marks - but minimal loss.
