This is Copy No. 34, SIGNED by author on a bookplate to front endpaper. A few small marks to gilt to outer page edges. Original slip case is still in excellent condition - light wear at edges.

Together with a blue cloth bound commentary & translation with gilt title to spine and vignette to front. Commentary by De Hamel, translation by Barber. Facsimile volume is a tiny bit rubbed at front edge of spine and has a tiny scratch mark to front cover. Blue solander slipcase is bumped at corners with a couple of tiny dents at edges.

Coloured frontispiece and ornamented initial letters. Also includes a commentary volumes which has red cloth spine with gilt title and pictorial front board. Colour illustrations and 117 pages. Also included is a CD: Henry's Music Motets from a Royal Choirbook Songs by Henry VIII. This is copy 55 of 500. CD is MISSING. A lovely set contained in publisher's slipcases which are lightly scuffed. The song book has a bump to tail of spine which also transfers to inside tail of gutter edges (see photos). There is some transference of red dye from the slipcase to the very outer edges of the song book (minor). All contained in original packaging from the Folio Society.

In 1606 the little Dutch East India Company Ship, Duyfken, came upon the coast of Cape York Peninsula. Its skipper, Willem Jansz went to his grave without knowing that his crew were the first Europeans to land on the shores of the sixth continent. His chart lay undiscovered in the archives for many years. Nearly 400 years later, a small group of people dedicated themselves to the daunting task of bringing the Dufyken story back to life including building a replica ship. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos & illustrations and a few colour photos. This is a presentation copy of 1000 numbered and signed by the author. ISBN: 1876268247. This is copy 340 of 1000 SIGNED by the author. Text block browned, a few foxspots to endpaper. Blue pictorial dustwrapper is lightly scuffed. Strong tobacco smell present.
