Much of leather spine and corners are chipped away/worn away and missing. Stitching to binding can be seen through spine. Covers are grubby and foxed. Prelims are almost detached. Foxing and page browning. Musty smell to book.

Much of paper covering to spine is chipped away (so can see gatherings/stitching of pages underneath. Covers are marked. Foxing throughout, but heaviest to prelims and endpapers and outer page edges. Name in ink to title page. Binding a bit weak; a few hinges are pulled. A working copy ONLY!

Rear hinge split from staple binding. Foxing to text pages and some minor pencil annotations, woodcut pages generally clean if slightly browned.
