Attractive blue pictorial cloth with gilt titles. Colour pictorial endpapers. Superb colour plates plus b/w illustrations. Light rubbing to board edges else contents fine. Contained in publisher's slipcase which has some light scuffing and a couple of black grubby marks.

Spine and corners bumped and worn, cover edges rubbed. Spine browned. Contents are browned with heavy foxing to textblock (some to margins). Some hinges cracked.

Spine bumped and faded with 3.5" piece of red cloth stuck to top part of spine, looks like spine is missing underneath. Splits and fraying to both sides of middle of spine. Wear to corners and cover edges. Covers are grubby and marked. Rear joint starting to crack. Couple of tissue guards creased. Some grubby marks/fingermarks but most pages are clean. All plates present.
