Humour and excitement is captured with ingenious detail in BB's superb b/w illustrations and colour frontis. Blue pictorial boards. 127 pages. Some light browning to spine edges and some light spotting to covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn, foxed to rear panel and lightly browned to spine.

Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper dedicated to Poet Longellow's two sons (Charley & Ernest), Ernest has been neatly crossed out. The inscription is dated 1851, the printed date on the title-page is 1852. Some hinges pulled, some page browning.
