Three volume set, each volume bound in different colour cloth. B/w illustrations. Second printing. English Short Stories has slightly faded spine and light bleaching to spine (not immediately obvious). Else a lovely set contained in publisher's slipcase with some shelf-scuffing.

Frontis and 50 superb colour plates, tissue-guarded and mounted on green card at rear of book. 62 text pages. Green cloth, green titles and vignette to front cover. Spine bumped, worn and browned with small splits to the cloth. Top corners badly bumped with top rear corner almost split. Bumping to bottom corners. Bottom board edges bumped and rubbed. Covers a little grubby. Book plate to front pastedown. Browning to front endpapers and some of the mounts for the plates. Inscription in ink to half title page. Some hinges are cracked. Some fingering. Creasing to a couple of plates. Top of book is bowed.

He awakes 20 years later to a very changed world, having missed the American Revolution. Green cloth, gilt title to spine and front cover. 50 colour plates (printed both sides of the page) plus colour frontis. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Tiny white mark to top edge of front cover. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss and a little faded to spine.

Colour plates. 96 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Fading to gilt on spine and some of gilt on front cover. Front endpaper is MISSING. Browning to endpapers which are also a little grubby. Some foxing and a few margin marks.

Blue pictorial paper boards. Spiral bound. Move the tabs and watch the characters move. Colour & b/w illustrations. Corners and cover edges worn, some scuffing and foxing. Neat name to front pastedown. Tab from first moveable has been torn off but still works. Tabs to all moveables are creased. Finally moveable is broken. A few pages have small tears or creasing to margin of bottom edge. A few fingermarks but generally clean.

Full leather binding with gilt titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Ribbon ties weaved into binding of covers. 50 colour plates; tipped-in. Heavy, hand-made paper. Text is in Dutch. A lovely edition! Limited edition to 325 copies. 8" split to top of spine next to front cover. 3-4" split to base of spine on rear side of covers. Bumping and wear to corners and spine. A little chipping along cover edges. Original ribbon ties are still present on binding - one to bottom of front cover has partly torn off, so can not be tied to ribbon on rear cover; original piece of torn of ribbon still present inside, but detached. A few marks to covers. Looks like repair work has been professionally done at some point; new overlap edges have been very neatly added, so protecting more original corners. The book also appears to have new endpapers. Some foxing to outer page edges and a few to some pages internally. Some creasing to uncut page edges. All plates are present and in excellent condition!
