Leather spine and corners. Cloth covers. With 29 portraits, 7 other illustrations and 21 maps. Large format. Heavy wear to top of spine. Damp marks/browning to covers. Front joint is cracked and therefore prelims detached. Some foxing. A little pen annotation to a couple of pages; damp to some page edges. Creasing, browning and a few tears to fold-out plans. All illustrations and plans are present.
A lively, stirring tale of pirates on the Spanish Main, thrilling but never frightening, told by a sailor with a glorious sense of humour. Red cloth, dark blue titles and vignette to front. Colour and b/w illustrations. 48 pages. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Light page browning to half-title and last text page. Some light fingering else contents clean. White pictorial wrapper is grubby and edge worn, chipped to spine with loss, extensive tape repairs on verso.
Translated by Wade. Blue cloth with gilt title to spine. Spine and corners are bumped, with some wear. A few marks to covers. Foxing to outer page edges and some page margins. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with a bit of loss to top and tail of spine and corners; inscription in ink to front flap.
Cream cloth, small title label to front cover. Bottom 1cm of spine is missing. Some grubby marks to covers; wear to edges. Name in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-torn and creased, with some loss; now disguised by being stuck to piece of paper beneath.
Orange cloth, gilt titles. 12 plates. 119 pages plus 8 page publication list to rear. Spine slightly bumped. Some slight darkening to cover edges and covers grubby with spots to rear cover. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Contents clean.

B/w text illustrations. 2ND edition of the Deluxe calf binding, although 10th edition of this title overall. Damp mark to bottom edge of front cover that is 1" in height at most. Damp is also to rear cover at base, next to spine and in triangular patch outwards. Chipping to leather at base of spine, with a little loss. Bumping to top of spine and corners. A few scuff marks to covers. Damp patches go through to pastedowns and endpapers and few pages of book either side. Browning and foxing. Some grubby margin marks. Covers nice and bright.

Small closed tear to title page. A few grubby marks to contents. Repaired tear to page 21 with yellow tape mark. Some edge-loss to rear pastedown. Still a nice book.
