Spine is browned and bumped, with a little chipping/splitting to cloth at corners. Inscriptions in ink to front pastedown and front endpaper. Foxing. Arms of Colleges cards are stuck to 3 pages of prelims and verso of last text page of book and each chapter heading page thoroughout.

Differing levels of foxing throughout volumes; edges of some plate pages are chipped, with a little loss.
