Lower edge of text block slightly grubby. Text block lightly browned. Name & date in ink to top of front pastedown, '4110' written in ink to top of front endpaper. Contents are clean.

Almost very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
The life story of the Stephensons, father and son, the story of the birth of the railways, an historical event of which it would be difficult to exaggerate the importance. Terracotta cloth boards, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Heavy knock to top front edge of boards else boards clean and bright. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Text block browned. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine, has a tiny nick to top front edge, grubby to rear panel.
