Top & tail of spine and corners lightly rubbed. Text block browned. Top of title page has been cut off and is missing but does not affect the title itself. Some light page browning. Rear endpapers a little grubby. Overall a decent copy.

B/w plates and illustrations to text. viii and 363 pages including index. Spine browned, split & worn at edges. Corners rubbed and worn. Contemporary inscription in ink to front endpaper and name in pencil. Joints split, cracked to bottom, starting to come unstuck from spine. Text block browned. Prelims almost detached. A few pencil annotations (underlining), grubby marks and some foxing. A good working copy, sold with all faults.
