Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Large format, cream cloth spine. Beige boards with pictorial onlay to front. 8 pretty colour plates. B/w text illustrations. A little bumping to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Browning to page edges. Small tears to bottom of some pages. Top corner of page 11/12 missing. Stain to bottom of page 44 and margin of plate opposite, also affects a few pages before. Couple of hinges pulled leading to bottom of a couple of plates being detached. Contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears, creases and several small areas of loss. Wrapper is grubby with a few marks. Some browning to verso.

Colour plates and three-tone illustrations. 2 illustrated alphabets, one cats and one pixies, puzzles, second half of book is mostly train related. Spine bumped and a bit grubby. Corners bumped and very worn. A few scratches to front cover. Writing and pencil marks to rear board. Board is rubbed with damp stain at top. Board edges rubbed. Inscription in ink and small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Joints are beginning to crack. Light browning to endpapers. Pencil marks to several pages. Puzzles have been attempted. Tear to the top of one plate and another plate is creased.
