Good condition. Front cover shows girl in mop cap and pink/green gown with 2 boys in medieval clothes, one dressed as a jester. Red cloth spine with black titles. Pretty colour plates plus numerous b/w and two-tone illustrations. First story is "Rosalie, the Dark-Haired Princess".
Board edges rubbed & worn, tail of spine rubbed & frayed. Boards scuffed and grubby. Joints cracked, rear joint starting to split at top. Front endpapers have cutouts of children glued down on them and some surface paper damage. Name in ink to belongs to box. Grubby marks to contents. Hinges pulled, binding a little worn but holding. 6 colour plates present.
