Norman Ellison is known by countless listeners to the B.B.C. In this story Dick is spending his holidays at Nomad's home - an old smuggler's cottage on the cliff-top; and what holidays they prove to be! Whether they are going down the quarry face on a rope, warding off the attack of a wild cat or hunting for pearls among the mussel beds, Nomad holds the reader's attention by the same charm and fascination he displays when broadcasting. Green cloth boardsz, black title to spine and vignette to front. Photo frontis. B/w illustrations. 179 pages. Spine and over edges are browned. Some bumping to corners. Lengthy inscription in pencil to front pastedown. Foxing to outer page edges. Top corners of pages have a bit of creasing. Wrapper is foxed with edge-tears and chips; some loss.
