Red cloth spine with black title & decoration. Front cover shows children in night clothes gathering around town crier holding lamp. First story is Ronnie and the Beehive. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Base of cloth spine starting to fray. A few marks to rear board. Possible that colour plates may have been removed. Foxing present.

Almost very good condition.
Green decorated cloth with red title to front and gilt title block to spine. Circular pictorial onlay to front shows three young people with lantern carol singing. Tipped in colour plates & b/w illustrations. All edges green. Corners lightly worn, small splits to top & tail of spine. Joints cracked & weak. Front endpaper torn at spine edge & repaired with clear tape. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. A few foxspots. One plate creased else plates in excellent condition.

B/w illustrations throughout including one small picture by Wain featuring 3 cats in the sea. Corners worn. Edges rubbed. Spine slightly faded. Prizeplate to front pastedown. Contents browned and foxed affecting margins of plates.
