Very small, oblong format 3.5 x 4.75". Beige pictorial boards with green spine. Colour frontis, b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners worn, 0.5" loss to base of spine. Strangely a small hole has been pierced through to the spine edge of the front cover and a piece of red ribbon has been tied neatly around the front cover (see photograph). Some light fingering else contents clean.

Being More Tales of Brer Rabbit and his friends retold from the original. Orange cloth, black titles. A slim volume 96 pages. B/w illustrations. 10" x 7". Light discolouration to cloth. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Wrapper edge-chipped and creased with 1/2" loss to top of spine.

The Big Books series edited by Herbert Strang. Pictorial boards and spine (monkey to spine). 4 colour plates, b/w text illustrations. First story is "Sai the Panther". Spine and corners very slightly bumped and rubbed. Rear cover is just a tiny bit grubby. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to page edges else contents clean.
Brown pictorial paper boards. Colour plates. Brown pictorial endpapers. Re-backed with new spine. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Rear cover scuffed. A few light marks to margins. One hinge split. Contents a little fragile due to glue drying out on spine. Still a good copy.

Blue cloth spine, red pictorial front board (illustration by Lawson Wood) of dog harassing jester. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. 476 pages. Spine bumped. Corners and cover edges worn. Covers scuffed and a little scratched. First gathering of pages (prelims) detached - held in by small piece of tape. Name in ink to front endpaper. Old glue marks to inner margins of endpapers. Some hinges cracked. Contents are generally clean.

An Uncle Toby Book. Brown cloth spine, chequered pictorial front board. B/w text illustrations plus colour plates. Ebenezer Bristles is a hedgehog. Spine slightly bumped, corners worn. Slight foxing to contents. Small stain to edge of front cover affecting first few pages. Slight musty smell to contents.

Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Light bumping to a few corners. A little wear to cover edges. Some small grubby marks to covers. Name and address in ink, in a 'belongs to box' created by a previous owner to verso of front endpaper. Contents are clean and bright. Bottom corner of rear endpaper has been torn off.
Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Top of spine has roughly 1/2 cm missing. Gift inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. 2" tear vertically up one page, next to spine. Contents are still bright. Pictorial wrapper is price-cut, edge-chipped, with a few inch edge-tears, that have been repaired to verso with sticky tape. Some small pieces of loss to corners. Grubby marks to rear panel. Overall, still a very good copy of this rarer ladybird title.
