With explanatory leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of The Tale of Two Bad Mice. Contained in a blue hinged box with silver title and square onlay to front. Also includes a blue leather foil-blocked bookmark. ISBN: 0723249881. This is copy no. 23. Contained in original brown packaging box (with limitation details label to front) and 'cotton' (referring to binding) written in blue biro to front. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Green pictorial cloth with red titles to front board and black titles to spine. 24 colour illustrations. 103 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine a little faded and browned. White marks to rear board. Boards are grubby. Front joint badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Rear joint and several hinges cracked making the binding a little loose. Bottom of most pages detached. Pencil scribble to front endpaper and a couple of blank pages. 'The End' and some pencil lines to last text page. A few small edge tears. Grubby marks and some foxing to contents.

Verso of wrapper is browned. Small ink stamp to front panel.
