Slightly better than good condition.
Contains three stories (Peter the Pied Piper, The Princess in the Sleeping Wood, Rip van Winkle) adapted into plays. Black boards with gilt titles to front and spine and vignette to front cover. Colour plates. 96 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Fading to gilt on spine and some of gilt on front cover. Front endpaper is MISSING. Browning to endpapers which are also a little grubby. Some foxing and a few margin marks.

Minimal bumping to spine and corners. 15 written in pen plus grubby fingermark to front endpaper. One hinge cracked. Endpapers lightly browned. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with a grubby rear panel and spine.

Being nine Fairy Tales from the Old French. 12 superb colour plates throughout. 251 pages. 9.5 x 7". Modern bindning. SIGNED by illustrator ''To my friend Isaac Jones this '20 year old' with all best wishes Edmund Dulac Xmas 1948". This copy has been rebound with new endpaper, it has been done in the style of the original with 3/4 cloth and cream spine with the original title part of the spine laid on to the new spine. A little light foxing. All plates present.

Name in ink to front endpaper. Joints cracked. Some pale foxing and light page browning else contents clean. A couple of pages have not been trimmed correctly (binding error) causing the lower margins to be slightly misaligned.
