B/w fronis portrait of the author. Spine and corners worn. Covers lightly rubbed. Grubby marks to some page margins throughout and some light foxing. There is a musty smell to contents (as usual with books this old!). A decent copy of a scarce book.

Spine faded and rear cover just lightly spotted. Front joint is cracked and a couple of hinges also cracked. Light foxing throughout. A few marks to page margins but contents are generally clean.

Rear pastedown has Calendar for 1893 also advertising Lloyd's Tea. P.J. Lloyd were tea men in the Bristol and Bath area. Corners lightly rubbed. Contents very clean and bright.
