Woodcuts in "Poliphili Hypernatomcachia," Venice, 1499. With an introductory notice and descriptions by Appell. Originally published by Aldus in 1499. Large format. White cloth boards, title to front, no title to spine. Boards very grubby and browned. Front joint cracked, rear joint just starting to crack. Large bookplate to front pastedown. Rear hinge split from staple binding. Foxing to text pages and some minor pencil annotations, woodcut pages generally clean if slightly browned.
