This is a collection of selected extracts from letters written to his mother during the tumultous times of change between 1858 and 1866. Large format. Cloth spine, cream cardwraps with black title to front. Tipped in colour frontis of the Ripon leaving Southampton. B/w photos. 89 pages. A few light creases to covers. Covers are a little grubby from handling. Contents clean.
