Free front endpaper has an extensive ink drawing of a person to it. Some of the b/w illustrations above text to text pages have the characters tails coloured with biro. Ink tick and cross marks to other ladybird titles page to rear of book. Pictorial wrapper has ink underlining to titles on rear flap, edge-tear to front flap, and a few other smaller edge-tears and nicks. Name in pencil written across front of front panel. A few other smaller marks to wrapper. Overall, still a good copy of this scarce item.

Oblong format. 4 plates in concertina form that fold out to create a large panorama with 14 numbered card figures of cats, and corresponding numbered slits in the panorama to insert the cat figures. On the reverse is a rhyme by Arthur Burnaby with b/w illustrations also by Wain. Concertina folds worn meaning that the pages are now detached from each other. Edges rubbed. All figures present and in place. Light page browning. Colour illustrations and figures nice and bright.
