Published in honour of The Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. From Queen Victoria's journal, 1848 to 1861. Introduced by Delia Millar. Red buckram cloth covered boards with extensive gilt and black decorations. Bevelled boards. B/w and colour illustrations. Limited edition of 1850 numbered copies. Large format. All edges gilt. Light vertical crease to free front endpaper, tip of lower corner of contents lightly creased (likely to have been dropped at some point but boards not affected). Else a lovely copy. This is copy 1198. Contained in publisher's red cloth solander case which is lightly speckled.
