Off-white cloth with orange titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Pretty colour and b/w illustrations accompany short verses for children. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Grubby marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endppaer. Margin marks and some foxing. A couple of small page margin tears.

Blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis plus numerous b/w text and full-page illustrations. A book written in 1915 "for the amusement of my wife and myself at a time when life was not very amusing" - A.A. Milne. Originally published in 1917 with illustrations by H.M. Brock. 269 pages. Spine bumped and slightly rubbed. Covers slightly grubby. Frontis is part detached and lightly browned at margins. Some light foxing to contents.

Spine bumped. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxspots to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some very slight loss at spine and corners and neat tape repairs on verso, wrapper has a small/old tape mark to front panel (below "Red) and is slightly grubby to rear.
