Bottom 1" of spine is MISSING. Some grubby marks to covers. Surface paper damage to top corner of front cover. Small tear to rear cover., Colour transfers to belongs to box. NOT price-cut. A few grubby page margin marks. Page 97/98 has lower corner torn off and MISSING, this is affecting text. Rear joint is starting to come unstuck.

Pieces missing from top and bottom of spine. 2" split to top and bottom of front cover by spine. Corners creased. Edges worn with small piece missing from top corner of rear panel. Some pen marks to covers which are grubby. Name in belongs to box plus pen marks around words and picture. Not price-cut but pen marks to price. Large tear to page 17/18 and smaller tear to page 12/13. Page edges are grubby. Several corners are folded over. Some grubby marks to page margins. A reading copy.

Laminated pictorial boards. Front cover has head and shoulders of Rupert with sea in the background. First story is Rupert and the Copper Bird. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Splitting to laminate to top of spine; a bit of foxing. Chipping to base of spine; a little loss. Creasing to front endpaper, with inscription in pencil to belongs to box, same page has a little pencil colour scribble. NOT price-cut. Colouring contest and page next to it have colouring in and some scribble. Butterfly colouring to page 63 has been completed. Hinge between pages 78 + 79 has been pulled. Rupert's Nature Spotting Hobby has been completed in pencil (p. 20/21).

Base of spine is repaired (re glued), with a little colouring - about 1.75", split to one side. Creasing to rear cover, with some scuffing and light surface paper damage. Not price-cut. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Year date in ink to inside front cover. Grubby margin marks to a few pages internally. Pictures are still bright. Small margin tear to last page, repaired with magic tape. Last page has a split gutter. Still a good copy of this rarer edition.

A few very minor marks to covers which are nice and bright. Backstrip complete but 1" and 2" splits to front edge. Rear edge of spine starting to split. Corners lightly rubbed. Front and rear joint weak. Name in belongs to box. NOT price-cut (no price printed in this copy). Maze garden puzzle page completed. Contents bright.
