Large format. Green boards, gilt title to spine. Howard Baker Annual Volume No. 9. Featuring Billy Bunter, Harry Wharton, Tom Merry etc. B/w illustrations. ISBN: 0703001388. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. A couple of indentations to rear cover and white marks to top corner area. Contents very good. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby to top and bottom edges.

Lower half of spine split, 3" on front edge. 5" on rear edge. Top corner of book is bowed. Wear to spine and corners. A few small marks to covers. Some light browning to contents otherwise clean.

An illustrated magazine for boys. Red pictorial cloth, gilt titles. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. First story is The Jungle Fortress. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Cloth fraying a little at top and bottom of spine. Board edges rubbed. Marks and a few scratches especially to rear cover. Looks like top of front endpaper was stuck to verso of frontis causing a little paper to be stuck to top of frontis. Top of both front and rear endpapers missing. Tiny tears and holes to both endpapers and border of frontis. Small bits of paper missing from front pastedown plus erased pencil writing. Large vertical tear to 1 plate (page 41). Front and rear joints beginning to crack. Creasing and small tears to a few pages. Page browning but contents generally clean.

Top and bottom of spine are bumped. Cloth split to front of top of spine with small tear to top of word 'annual'. Some cloth missing to top and bottom of spine which is browned. Front joint is cracked. Browning and a little foxing to endpapers. Three tissue guards are missing from colour plates. Some page browning and foxing to contents which are generally clean.
