A collection of 16 fairy tales, first story is The Snow Queen. Illustrated with 16 beautiful colour plates including frontispiece. Green cloth boards with black titles and decoration to spine, pictorial onlay of 'The Babes in the Wood' to top front board. xiv and 211 pages. Undated. A few minor marks to boards but generally nice and clean looking. Text block browned with a few foxspots. Endpapers lightly browned. Hinges to prelims lightly pulled. A few foxspotsmainly to margins. All plates present, some are worn at edges.

Published for Boots The Chemist. Large format. Red cloth covers, gilt titles. 16 colour tipped-in plates. Many b/w illustrations. 319 pages. 10 x 7.5". Spine and corners bumped. Faded patch to base of spine (where there is a piece of the dustwrapper missing). A few tiny dents to cover edges. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing, especially to prelims and textblock. Some of the b/w text illustrations has been neatly coloured. Dustwrapper has a piece missing to base of spine and a smaller piece missing above. Rear panel and spine of wrapper are slightly faded.

Pictorial boards. Bookano Series with 4 colour stand-up models. Eight stories. Colour pictorial endpapers, frontis and title page plus b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed, cover edges rubbed. Light vertical crease to centre of spine. Tinder Box pop-up is creased to tree as usual. Snow Queen pop-up needs a minor repair to get a couple of the pieces to stand up and the Swinherd pop-up has a crease to the princess.

Gift insription in ink to front pastedown. Text block browned. A few grubby marks to contents. Plates are fine. Some b/w illustrations coloured in with colouring pencils. A few pages have a tiny piece of the lower corner missing. Dustwrapper is chipped at corners, a large amount of loss to base of spine (3") and thus spine of book is lightly faded where the dustwrapper is missing, also a little creased.
