Green spine, red pictorial boards show three children dancing in a circle. 4 colour plates and b/w illustrations. Stories and rhymes. Spine bumped at top and bottom and about 1" from bottom. Wear to corners and top corners bumped. A couple of light scratches to covers. Endpapers browned, front endpaper is marked, name and address erased from pastedown. A few hinges cracked but binding firm. Odd fox spot otherwise contents clean. All plates present.
A collection of short stories. Pictorial boards. Red cloth spine. Colour frontis, b/w plates and illustrations. 124 pages. Spine bumped and slightly faded. Corners worn. Rear cover scuffed. Front cover bright and clean. Pages lightly browned else clean.
First story Toby To The Rescue. Front cover shows Gran'pop riding on a pair of roller skates with a piglet pulling him. Covers are worn with slight loss of surface paper at edges. Spine is bumped and grubby. Name in ink has been mostly erased from belongs to box. Frontis is detached at lower half. Some grubby fingermarks to pages and a few small margin tears.
Green cloth spine. Colour pictorial front cover. Front cover: BB up ladder pasting on title, while Maisie Mouse and Ruby Rabbit spill paste pot. 'Makes another splash!'. B/w and Colour illustrations. Cloth spine a little worn at edges. Board edges rubbed and worn at corners. Rear board a little scuffed. Faint pencil inscription to front pastedown. White paper repair to top and tail of front joint. Some puzzles done. Grubby marks to contents.
The Days of Richard the Lion-Hearted. Red cloth, black titles and borders. Colour frontis. 247 pages. Bumping to spine; darkening to cover edges. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few chips and nicks.
Title is "The Twins" on front cover which features a boy and girl (girl holding doll). Cloth spine, pictorial boards. B/w illustrations throughout. Covers edge worn. Rear cover grubby. Joints partly broken. Page browning and grubby fingermarks to page margins.
Large format (14 x 11"). Cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows two girls, one with a fan. 6 beautiful colour illustrations plus brown and white illustrations in outline. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly grubby. Joints cracked. Endpapers lightly foxed and pastedowns lightly browned. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light grubby fingermarks to page margins but generally contents clean.
Square format (9.75 x 9.75"). Cloth spine, pictorial boards. Full-page colour illustrations throughout with a well-known nursery rhyme opposite each. Printed on green paper. Corners worn, covers edge rubbed. Some loss of surface paper to lower front edge of spine. Contents clean. Stitching is slightly pulled. A nice copy of a scarce book.
Red boards, black title to spine. 214 pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some scuffing to covers.Wrapper is damp marked with surface paper damaged; a bit of loss.
Verso of front endpaper shows Gary Cooper and Marion Davies. Red cloth spine. Pictorial boards. Book: Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Free endpapers lightly foxed. Spine faded. Corners worn.
