A series of letters from Lien Chi Altangi, a Chinese philosopher in London. Introduction by Richard Garnett. Burgundy cloth boards, gilt titles and vignettes. B/w illustrations. xxiv and 308 pages. Top edge gilt. Spine lightly faded, gilt titles still bright. Corners lightly rubbed. Prelims browned. Half-title page has a diagonal crease. Some hinges pulled but binding is tight. Page 105 has large grubby mark to lower half (not affecting text). Some pages remain uncut. A few marks to contents but generally a nice copy.
