Contents

  • This is the story of a ballet company on a tour which began in London and ended at the Skye Gathering Ball in far-away Portree. In it we meet all the people we grew to know in Dancing Peel: Annette and Maximilian, her brother; Angus MacCrimmon and his cousin, Sheena - descendant of the MacDonalds, once Lords of Skye and of the Isles. Some newcomers too, principally Jaimie Gordon, nicknamed 'Cock o' the North' because of his prowess as a climber. Also a family of Americans who are living in Jaimie's ancestral castle situated on the shores of Loch Slapin in the Island of Skye.
