A detailed account of the design, construction and technical history of the cruisers that served in the Royal Navy during the second world war. 121 cruisers are described with over 60 sets of detailed plans. ISBN: 0853683042. Board edges lightly rubbed. Contents have been bound a little too low in the boards so the lower text block edge is level with the lower board. Text block browned. Name & number in red ink to front pastedown. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned, faded to spine, lightly edge-worn.

Author of many children's books, little did he think he would become the father of modern caravanning and first vice-president of the Caravan Club when formed in 1907. ISBN: 0907128157. This is copy no. 404. Spine and corners bumped. Inludes a small erratum slip stating "first published in leisure hour in 1885 and 1886". Dustwrapper is price-cut and slightly faded to spine.
